DNSlytics
Reverse IP, NS, MX, and WHOIS lookups.
Published by DNSlytics.
In short
DNSlytics is the reverse IP, nameserver, mail-server, and WHOIS site at dnslytics.com. On 20 Oct 2026 the homepage printed 330+ million active domains, 20+ billion historical events, and said IP and DNS data is refreshed every 14 days. The premium page said subscriptions start at 30 cents a day. The API page said free access is limited to 2,500 requests a day and premium access to 20,000 a day. search.dnslytics.com stopped on a Cloudflare check, so no lookup row is quoted from that host.
Product pricing strategy
02
Free and paid
https://dnslytics.com/premium-access/ on 20 Oct 2026 said premium website access adds historical data, full reports, and more monitors, and that subscriptions start at 30 cents a day, as a month or year pass. The same page said the upgrade includes up to 40 monitors, up to 1,000 pageviews a day, and up to 2,500 domain-search results. It did not print a monthly total. The button labeled See Pricing pointed at search.dnslytics.com/pricing, and that host returned a Cloudflare check rather than a rate card. https://dnslytics.com/api/ said the free API allows 2,500 requests a day and the premium API allows 20,000 a day and 30 a minute, with calls debited from a credit balance. Credit costs on that page run from free types to 20 credits for ReverseHistory. No page that rendered here turned a credit into a dollar. Do not invent that conversion.
Utility and features
03
The homepage offers domain, IP, and provider investigation, with example queries for a name, a domain, an IPv4 address, an IPv6 address, and an AS number. This listing did not retrieve those examples. Opening search.dnslytics.com for google.com, for 1.1.1.1, and for the pricing path each stopped on a Cloudflare check. The marketing pages on dnslytics.com did load. They describe historical data, full reports, domain search, monitors, and a premium API.
- Homepage statistics. 330+ million active domains and 20+ billion historical events were on the homepage on 20 Oct 2026, with a 14-day refresh line for IP and DNS data.
- 30 cents a day. The premium page said subscriptions start at 30 cents a day. The credit checkout host did not get past Cloudflare, so no second price is quoted.
- API quotas. The API page said 2,500 free requests a day and 20,000 premium requests a day. Per-type credit costs stay on that page.
The API page, opened the same day, splits Version 1 from Version 2. Version 1 lists stable types such as ReverseIP, ReverseMX, ReverseNS, DomainSearch, and HostingHistory, each with a credit cost. Version 2 is a beta dataset API dated 2026-02-13 on that page's changelog, priced at 10 credits. AccountInfo and IP2ASN are marked free. Those credit numbers are the API page's. They are not a dollar price. The dollar figure this listing can quote is the premium page's line that subscriptions start at 30 cents a day.
- 1
Use the homepage when you need the vendor's own census, and keep each statistic attached to that page.
- 2
Treat 30 cents a day as the only money figure this listing opened. Do not convert API credits into dollars.
- 3
Hold a reverse-IP or reverse-NS idea as a lead until the result page itself loads.
Caveats
04
A shared nameserver, a shared mail server, or a shared address is a lead that two names were observed together. It does not prove one person operates both. Historical events are the vendor's archive, not a court exhibit by themselves.
The homepage statistics and the 30-cent line are from dnslytics.com. The result host did not open, so this listing has no reverse-IP row, no WHOIS record, and no credit checkout total. dnslytics.com/pricing returned 404. The working premium narrative is /premium-access/. Quote the page that loaded. A Cloudflare interstitial is not a price and not a lookup.
Potential use cases
06
- A reverse-IP claim needs a page that loaded. On 20 Oct 2026 dnslytics.com printed 330+ million active domains and 20+ billion historical events, and said IP and DNS data refreshes every 14 days. search.dnslytics.com stopped on a Cloudflare check for a domain page, an IP page, and the pricing path. Do not fill the missing row with a guessed registrar.
- The only money figure that rendered was on the premium page: subscriptions start at 30 cents a day, with up to 40 monitors, up to 1,000 pageviews a day, and up to 2,500 domain-search results. The API page listed credit costs and daily caps of 2,500 free and 20,000 premium requests. Do not turn a credit into a dollar the checkout page did not show.
- Two domains on one nameserver are about to be briefed as one operator. The product's reverse NS, MX, and IP types are leads that names were observed together. They do not identify a person. dnslytics.com/pricing returned 404. The premium narrative that loaded is /premium-access/.
Hard cases
The case where the first result is easy to over-read.
A Cloudflare check is filed as WHOIS
The result host showed a security verification page, including Ray IDs, and not a domain record. Cite dnslytics.com for the census and the 30-cent line. Do not cite the interstitial as a lookup, and do not invent the credit price that sat behind it.
Practitioners using it
Posts on X from people describing a concrete use. The quote is the post. Likes and reposts are the counts saved with it, not a live total. A label marks a creator, a maintainer, a vendor, a partner, a data partner, or an investor.
When you want to see registered domains similar to yours, you can check dnslytics. This way you can see who is possibly creating a phishing domain. >> https://t.co/Ew196XZZZu Check other domains registered with the same IP, to see their activity. #osint #dnslytics #phishing pic.twitter.com/Ukov5IOPTq
To resolve even more domains based on the IP address I utilised DNSlytics which allowed me to perform a reverse lookup based on the IPs found DNSlytics -> https://t.co/AvkHzHrq04 pic.twitter.com/5BnzBEZN5T
Questions
Is DNSlytics free?
The site offers a free lookup path and a free API capped at 2,500 requests a day on the API page opened 20 Oct 2026. Premium website access was described as starting at 30 cents a day.
Why is there no lookup screenshot?
search.dnslytics.com stopped on a Cloudflare check for a domain page, an IP page, and the pricing path. The Screenshots section is removed rather than filled with that interstitial.
