Flightradar24
A live map of aircraft built from receiver data.
Published by Flightradar24.
In short
Flightradar24 is a live flight map. Opening the map is free. Subscription plans add more, and the premium page offers a 7-day trial. This listing does not quote a plan price, because the premium page we opened did not print the amounts in its HTML. A track is an aircraft position the service has received. It does not identify a passenger, and it is not a government radar feed you control.
Product pricing strategy
02
Free and paid
Flightradar24’s map is free to open. The premium page sells subscription plans and offers a 7-day trial. This listing does not quote a monthly or annual price. The amounts were not in the HTML of the premium page when it was reviewed. Use that page as the rate card.
Utility and features
03
Flightradar24 is the map people open when the question is which aircraft is overhead, or where a flight number went. The site is a tracker: a map, alerts, and subscription plans. The premium page is titled around those plans and offers a seven-day try. Use that page for the current price. This listing will not invent one from a page that did not show figures in the HTML.
- The map. The free product is the live map. You click an aircraft the network is currently showing.
- Subscriptions. Plans live on the premium page, with a 7-day trial offered there. Read the card for what a plan adds.
- What a track is. A received position over time. Gaps happen. The map is not your radar.
The OSINT value is the track and the identifiers the map already shows, such as a callsign or a registration, when the receiver network has them. It is not a passenger list. WiGLE is the neighbor for wireless networks on the ground. Copernicus Browser is the neighbor for a satellite image of a place. Flightradar24 is the aircraft.
- 1
Open the map and search a flight number or a registration you are allowed to look up.
- 2
Note the time. Tracks move, and history may sit behind a plan.
- 3
If you need history or alerts, read the premium page before you assume the free map includes them.
- 4
Cite the timestamp and the identifier the map showed. Do not invent a passenger.
Caveats
04
Coverage depends on receivers and on aircraft that are actually broadcasting. A missing track is not proof an aircraft was absent.
A registration and a callsign are aircraft identifiers. They are not the names of people on board. Do not treat a consumer map as an official record.

Potential use cases
06
- You have a flight number and a time you already care about. Look it up on the public map or the history your plan includes. The output is the track Flightradar24’s network recorded, if it recorded one. A missing track is not proof the aircraft was absent. Coverage depends on receivers and on whether the aircraft was broadcasting. Pivot a registration to the public aircraft record for that country if you need the registered operator, which is still not the passenger list.
- A photo shows an aircraft and you can read a registration. Search that registration. The output is the identity the site associates with it, which you verify against a second source before you name an operator in a report. A registration is not the people on board. Do not treat a consumer map as an official record.
- You are allowed to follow a public flight and your plan includes alerts. Set the alert on the flight or the registration the product allows. The output is the alert, which can be late or missing when the aircraft is not broadcasting. This is a flight, not a person. The free product is the live map. History and alerts depend on the plan. Confirm that on the site.
Hard cases
The case where the first result is easy to over-read.
The track is used to place a person
A flight was airborne. That does not say who was on it. The map has a registration and a callsign. Cite those, the time, and the source, and stop unless you have a separate record of passengers you are allowed to use. A missing track is also not an alibi. Receivers have gaps. Say what the site showed and what it did not show.
Questions
Is Flightradar24 free?
The map is free. Subscription plans are paid, and the premium page offers a 7-day trial. Prices are on that page.
Does Flightradar24 list passengers?
No. It shows aircraft tracks from receiver data. People on the aircraft are not the product.
